Rental Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to all vehicle rental requests, reservations and rental agreements with Intercar Rental. By requesting, booking or renting a vehicle, you agree to these terms.

1. About Intercar Rental

Intercar Rental provides premium and luxury vehicle rental services. Rental availability, prices, deposits and conditions may vary per vehicle, rental period and customer request.

2. Booking requests

A request submitted through our website, WhatsApp, email, phone or contact form does not automatically confirm a booking.

A booking is only confirmed after Intercar Rental has accepted the request and any required payment, deposit or verification has been completed.

3. Vehicle availability

All vehicles are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or adjust a booking request if a vehicle is unavailable, unsuitable for the requested use, or if verification is not completed.

If a requested vehicle is unavailable, we may offer an alternative vehicle where possible.

4. Prices and payment

Rental prices may depend on the vehicle, rental period, mileage, pickup or delivery location, season, insurance conditions and other booking details.

  • Prices are provided upon request unless stated otherwise.
  • Additional costs may apply for delivery, extra mileage, late returns, cleaning, damage, fines or special requests.
  • Payment instructions will be provided before confirmation.
  • A booking may be refused or cancelled if payment is not received on time.

5. Deposit

A security deposit may be required before or at the start of the rental period.

The deposit may be used to cover damage, cleaning costs, fuel differences, late return fees, traffic fines, parking fines, administrative costs, excess mileage or other costs caused during the rental period.

The remaining deposit, if applicable, will be returned after the vehicle has been inspected and all outstanding costs have been settled.

6. Driver requirements

The renter and any approved driver must meet the minimum requirements set by Intercar Rental.

  • The driver must hold a valid driving licence.
  • The driver must be legally allowed to drive the rented vehicle.
  • Minimum age requirements may apply per vehicle.
  • Additional identity or licence verification may be required.
  • Only approved drivers may drive the vehicle.

7. Use of the vehicle

The vehicle must be used responsibly, safely and in accordance with applicable laws.

The vehicle may not be used for:

  • Illegal activities
  • Racing, drifting, track use or speed testing
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication that affects driving ability
  • Sub-rental or lending to unauthorised drivers
  • Commercial transport without written permission
  • Transporting dangerous or prohibited goods
  • Driving outside permitted areas without approval

8. Pickup, delivery and return

Pickup, delivery and return details are agreed before the rental starts. Delivery may be available upon request and may involve additional costs.

The vehicle must be returned at the agreed time, date and location, in the same condition as received, except for normal use.

9. Late return

If the vehicle is returned later than agreed, additional charges may apply.

Late returns can affect other bookings and may result in extra rental fees, administrative costs or loss of deposit.

10. Mileage and fuel

Mileage limits may apply depending on the booking. Extra mileage may be charged separately.

The vehicle must be returned with the agreed fuel or battery level. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel or charge than agreed, refuelling, charging and administrative costs may be deducted from the deposit or charged separately.

11. Damage, loss and inspection

The vehicle will be inspected before and after the rental period. Existing damage should be recorded before departure.

The renter is responsible for damage, loss, missing items, excessive wear, cleaning costs or other costs caused during the rental period, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

12. Smoking, pets and cleaning

Smoking is not allowed in the vehicle unless explicitly agreed in writing.

Pets are not allowed unless approved in advance. Additional cleaning fees may apply if the vehicle is returned dirty, with odours, stains, pet hair or other excessive contamination.

13. Traffic fines and penalties

The renter is responsible for all traffic fines, parking fines, toll charges, environmental zone fines, speeding tickets and other penalties incurred during the rental period.

Administrative fees may apply for handling fines, requests from authorities or related documentation.

14. Accidents, theft and breakdowns

In case of an accident, theft, damage or breakdown, the renter must contact Intercar Rental immediately and follow our instructions.

  • Do not leave the scene of an accident without following legal requirements.
  • Report incidents to the police where required.
  • Do not admit liability without our written approval.
  • Take photos and collect relevant details where possible.

15. Insurance and liability

Insurance conditions may vary per vehicle and rental agreement.

The renter may remain liable for excess, deductible, excluded damage, unauthorised use, negligence, traffic violations or damage not covered by insurance.

Full insurance details and liability limits are confirmed during the booking or rental agreement process.

16. Cancellation

Cancellation conditions may vary depending on the vehicle, rental period and booking details.

If a booking is cancelled shortly before the rental period, cancellation fees may apply. Any refund depends on the timing of cancellation, costs already incurred and the specific booking agreement.

17. Refusal or cancellation by Intercar Rental

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking if:

  • Required verification is not completed
  • Payment or deposit is not received
  • Information provided is incorrect or incomplete
  • There are safety, legal or insurance concerns
  • The vehicle becomes unavailable due to damage, maintenance or unexpected circumstances

18. Website information

We aim to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date. However, vehicle details, images, prices, specifications and availability may change.

No rights can be derived from obvious errors, outdated information or typographical mistakes on the website.

19. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Intercar Rental is not liable for indirect damages, loss of income, missed appointments, travel disruption or other consequential losses.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where such limitation is not permitted by applicable law.

20. Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy & Cookie Policy.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
